BIO

Kaena Hood is a Haitian American actress, writer, teacher, and performing arts fanatic on a mission to change the world through creativity and storytelling.

She fell in love with performing arts at the age of 11 during her first play on a middle school stage and has not stopped performing since. Kaena received her B. A in Theater Performance from the University of South Florida. There she was granted the opportunity to work with The British International Theater program, was cast as a lead in several productions, and performed spoken word poetry throughout the community. After completing her education, she went on to teach theater to young high school art lovers and mentor students in her hometown of Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Now as a resident of Los Angeles, Kaena is a seminar instructor and a working actress. Her continued passion for filmmaking fueled her to birth Kaena Alice Media, a collection of boundary-pushing, thought-provoking visuals written and produced by Hood.
